Who We Are

We are what we are today, because of our team.  This list is a mere sample of the innumerable volunteers to who Hope Avenue is grateful for. The team successfully manages to walk the avenue of Hope together, adults and youth, all with different ideas, unified by a single purpose.

Founders 

Anusha Vasudeva and Friends   

Anusha was very sensitive about the world issues; 9/11 and Tsunami had greatly affected her attitude towards human suffering.  She with a few of her friends from her elementary school had initiated a fund raiser project for Tsunami and  personally delivered the check to the local Red Cross office.  

This motivated the children to make them realize  that they are never too young to help address the world's big problems.  This is how Anusha and her friends initiated the idea of creating Hope Avenue (named by these kids)  as a charitable organziation.

Meet the Board

Lalitha Vasudeva, President

Lalitha Vasudeva now resides in Chennai, India giving Hope Avenue an international Geographical advantage. Her pivotal role helps in tying our means to the ends, converting the contributions into funding for projects in India.

Sai Gopalan, Secretary

Sai Gopalan is the spirited secretary who oversees our activities in North Carolina. Her "can do" attitude puts many things into action swiftly and she makes it look effortless.

Senthilnathan, Treasurer
